After years of using the good old reliable ' bubble wrap ', we realised how much of it we had started to get through. Eventually after some thought and a little research ( ok a glass of wine and a chat on the balcony ), we have decided to up our game as far as the carbon footprint is concerned!
We now use postage bags that are made from ' sustainable plants and non-toxic, compostable resin' . This means you just put the bag in with the food scraps and garden waste.
Replacing the bubble wrap and still maintain the protection for transit, has been as simple as using recycled paper from the good old paper shredder! It maybe a little messier when you rip open your parcel, unable to contain your excitement at seeing the order, but nothing a quick vacuum won't sort out.
